About Our Prints
- John's images are limited edition prints. Each photograph is a signed, numbered print. When all edition numbers of a print are sold, the image will never again be printed as a photograph. The relatively small edition quantities insure that your photograph is a unique piece of art. Limited edition prints also create a secondary market after the numbered prints are sold out.
- Each photographic print is created using the Ilfochrome process. Ilfochrome prints are made directly from slides without the need for an inter-negative. This direct positive process provides superior color saturation, sharpness and accuracy. Ilford's premium papers and chemistry are used to produce exhibition-quality prints that have superb resistance to fading. Ilfofrchomes are among the sharpest and highest quality prints available.
- Your photograph portrays a true wilderness experience as I see it.
- The images have not been digitally manipulated.
- Photographic Prints can be purchased with or without framing. I select only the highest quality material available for each framed image which is than hand crafted. Double acid-free mats and backings are complimented by custom framing.
- The Wild as I see it strives to produce only the highest quality photographic art available while offering the customer input into the creative framing process.
How To Order
Owning your own John Morrow photograph, or ordering prints to resell in your gallery or shop, is as easy as sending me an email or getting me on the telephone.
- Choose your photo . I will need the name (or number) displayed beneath the photo in the galleries page of this Web site.
- Select the type of finish you want on your photograph: High Gloss or Pearl, which is a semi-matte finish.
- Pick the size . I offer eight sizes, from the convenient 5 x 7-inch, which is just right for placing on your desk or credenza, to the magnificent 30 x 40-inch, which shows beautifully above a mantle or under a photo spotlight. (You can check the price list at the bottom of this page by clicking here.)
- Indicate if you want custom framing, back mounting or art glass. For prints with a 16-inch dimension or larger, I select an exquisite line of wood molding frames and encase your photograph in a line of colored, suede or linen archival mattes. Unless the client requests a specific color for either the matte or frame, I produce the finished artwork using the matte and frame selection that has proven to be the most attractive and artistic for my work. All Ilfochrome prints are hung and not mounted to archival foam board backing. For prints smaller than 16-inches on a side, I use the same line of archival mattes, framed with an artistic black wood or metal molding. Every photograph is protected by picture-framing glass. If you prefer to make your own selections, just let me know. If you go this route, I cannot be responsible for an unsatisfactory display, however.
For details about custom framing options, please see "Custom Back Mounting and Art Glass Options" #1 and #2 below.

Custom Back Mounting and Art Glass Options
I use Plexiglas back mounting and Art Glass on all of my work and recommend both these options.
