JOHN MORROW -- Photographer

Since 1989, I have photographed wild animals and landscapes in America's dwindling wild places. My photos have graced the cover of The Nature Conservancy magazine and have placed in juried national photography competitions.

I have made them available for gallery showings and for sale to the public since 2000. Black bears frolicking at play, grizzlies scooping salmon dinners from the waters of icy streams, moose, elk, big horn sheep, bison, wolves, coyotes and more -- these are the targets of my camera lens. Majestic sun rises, snow-peaked mountains, tumbledown cabins abandoned by their inhabitants but still haunting the plains -- these are the images I capture.

From my home studio in Maryland, I make frequent treks to America's last wild places in Wyoming, Montana and Alaska. My next trip, scheduled for the summer of 2008, will take me and my cameras to Alaska and Canada's Northwest Territories in search of wolves and bears and the elusive cougar.
